Curriculum Objective
Introducing Udyamita उद्यमिता in Gurukuls, Vedic Schools & Universities offering IKS-based programs
Curriculum Rationale & Key Questions
We are all aware that the ‘wars’ in concurrent times are fought seldom on borders. The urge of gaining supremacy has new forms – data war, war-like attempts to gain control on buying capacity of a given ‘market’, cultural war, and alike.
Just as the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) has delivered precious methods and treatises since the time memorial, according to situations that then prevailed (for example, Geeta evolved on the Yuddh-kshetr); similarly, NOW is the time to give a war-time-like response to “war for market control” – and to do so in a manner that is compliant with the Dharmik principles.
That is possible only through – (1) preparing an ‘army’, that has (2) capability to practice udyamita in an ethical framework; and thereby (3) present a ‘model’ to the rest of human society / nations to conduct themselves within an ethical scheme of doing business.
Hence, the rationale and objectives of the curriculum can be outlined as –
- Introducing a conceptual shift from the Western economic system (based on marketism) to Indic economic system (based on the quad of Dharm-Arth-Kaam-Moksh),
- Sowing seeds of Atmnirbharata among youth, and
- Introducing the ten principles of ethical entrepreneurship.
